Goodbye, Tel-Aviv! Rosh HaShanah in Jerusalem.
Yael stopped by in the morning to say goodbye. We had a little coffee, did some shopping, and drove to Jerusalem for Rosh HaShanah. We picked up Safta and Chris and the four of us traveled to Yehudit’s house for the holiday.
When we got to Jerusalem, we felt very festive!
We got dressed up and went to the synagogue with Neta and Omri. We made it for the very end of the services, which were held at their old high school. I think Dan thought it was cool that the prayers (and tunes) were familiar. (I think the coolest part was seeing my cousins’ old high school graduation pictures on the wall of the school!)
Time to eat with the family!
The chef:
After dinner, we had a fun, musical time. Dan, Itay and Omri played instruments and Neta and I joined in and sang. We actually had a really great time, putting on a show for the adults.
