Off to Tel-Aviv!
Goodbye, Eilat! Dan and I had a lovely morning and then hopped the one-hour flight to Tel-Aviv.
We flew back up the coast past the Dead Sea:
After settling into our hotel in Tel-Aviv, we borrowed the hotel bicycles and rode off to explore the city.
Time to eat!
The next day:
My cousin Inbal, her family, her sister and her sister’s daughter came to visit Dan and I at the pool.
After our guests left, Dan and I spent some time on the beach.
When we got back from the beach, we went to look at the hotel spa. They didn’t have any massage openings.. but the DID have cookies! Dan loves cookies.
Hotel pool:
We went to lunch…
…and that’s when we met up with my friend Ido, a South African living in Israel who was a camp counselor with me in suburban Philadelphia when we were younger. He traveled down from Chaifa to hang out with us for the day!
and back to the pool!
More beach time in the Mediterranean Sea:
The three of us sat on the beach and watched the sun set.
We showered and changed back at the hotel and then met up with Yael for dinner.
Ido Gordon on Gordon Street!
Then, Ido hopped a bus back to Chaifa, Yael went home and we went back to the hotel. Goodnight!
