Play date with Ellie, my beautiful little niece!
Ellie and I don’t often get a chance to have some quality aunt-niece time without the other kids around, so it was a real treat to get to play just the two of us.
We spent the afternoon at the nearby park, playing on the slides and other playground toys. I even pushed Ellie on the big-kids swing and she wasn’t afraid at all to swing really high! She might only be 2 and a half years old, but she seems so big to me! (Ellie, you’re growing up too fast!)
Of course I also got a chance to take lots of photos of her. I love these memories of our fun times together! Again, I’m playing with the photo editing tool. It’s been fun learning to edit my pics. Here they are!
We decided we were done with the playground and went to go get some ice cream. On the way, we walked past the Fort Washington Fire station. They were open, so we went inside to meet the firefighters and see if they’d give us a tour! Here’s Ellie standing on one of the fire trucks:
Then finally, ice cream time!
Back at home, Aviva and Leo got back from their swimming lesson. Leo fell asleep on the couch and Aviva piled pillows on him.
It was a long day!
Before long, it was bedtime. Of course I brought the Caroline children’s book that we like to read. I read a story from the book and then spent some time with each of the kids and tucked them in. Ellie, Aviva and Leo were just so sweet! It was another fun day at Tamir and Jen’s house. Good times!
