Baking with Dan
Among his many talents, Dan is now perfecting his challah bread baking skills. He made a special round challah for Yom Kippur. Look how pretty –
Dan assembles his ingredients…
…including salt directly from the Dead Sea! (Dan picked up a salt chunk from a salt cave we hiked through in Israel.)
Buddi stopped by to see what Dan was doing. She’s a hungry cat. I’m sure she was wondering, “Are you making something for me to eat?”
The dough is done!
I helped Dan roll it out and braid it. Then he glazed it.
And here it is! A beautiful whole wheat round challah fresh out of the oven!
