Beach day, back to Jerusalem
Isaac and Courtney left early in the morning. Dan and I got to sleep in a bit. Yael recommended a great place for breakfast, so we took a sherut bus there. (It was more like a van.) as we hopped into the van, Dan thought it was cool how people just pass their fares up to the driver after they sat down. In the US, people would just pocket the cash! It’s interesting how the details of life are so different in other countries.
Anyway, breakfast was awesome.
Dan and I walked around Tel-Aviv and headed to the port; another outdoor shopping and eating boardwalk spot near the beach.
Off to relax on the beach…
Afterwards, we did a little shopping. I was cold and Dan bought me a sweatshirt and sweatpants — good thing too, because I had no clean clothes left!
Later, we baught a tree for Yehudit and Doryon as a thank you for using their car and cell phone all week long. The tree was a “Hadas” tree (a myrtle tree) which was really cool, because I don’t think I actually knew what my namesake tree looked like. We took the tree to dinner with us.
And then Dan buckled it into the car as we headed “home” to Jerusalem, to my aunt and uncle’s house.
