Martha’s Vineyard: Day 1

September 22, 2010

Roadtrip!

The adventure begins! Dan picked me up at 8:30 in the morning. We packed the car, and we were off to Massachusetts!

We packed two bicycles, a cooler, snacks, suitcases, a guitar and a casio piano in the car. Lots and lots of stuff!

I enjoyed the passenger seat, while Dan drove for 7 hours.

And we finally arrived in Cape Cod!

We got in the car line-up for the ferry. We arrived early and they let us take an earlier ferry to the island of Martha’s Vinyard.

Here we are driving onto the ferry!

On the ferry:

While we were on the boat in the water, Dan’s GPS knew we weren’t on a road… but it told us how far away we were from land!

Soon, it was time to drive off the ferry:

We arrived at what we thought was our vacation house.

Turns out at wasn’t our house. Our actual house was smaller, but way more secluded which was actually really, really cool. The yard here is really big and open and nobody can see us because we’re blocked by trees.

We went to Sharky’s for dinner. It was so cute, they had a giant shark at the entrance.

After an entire day of driving, we were so tired. Excited to explore the island tomorrow!
