Happy New Year, y’all!
I have to say, I had the nicest Rosh Hashanah. I was with Dan all day and it was just such a nice way to start off the new year. Let’s party like it’s 5771! Yeah!
Dan and I both took Thursday off for the Jewish holiday, so it was nice to sleep in a little with him. We took our time, made breakfast, and rode our bikes to the Ross department store together when we realized Dan forgot to bring a white t-shirt. So we got clean new underclothes for the new year. (That’s gotta be some sort of good luck, huh?)
We got all dressed up (Dan looked so good in his suit!!!!) and walked to synagogue. We heard the shofar, ate lots of honey and walked to the Delaware River for “tashlich” where we threw bread into the water, symbolically casting off our “sins” to the fish and the seagulls.
Then it was over to my parents’ house for an awesomely delicious holiday meal.
Tamir and Jen and their kids were there, too… and Aviva Leo and Ellie were being so sweet and loving, hugging everyone.
Dan played the piano, making my mom swoon over him I think, and we even played a song together. I think he got Aviva and Leo interested in piano since he played so well.
I also think he won over the kids when he gave them some candy from the synagogue. They were giving away smarties rolled up to look like little Torahs. So cute.
Anyway, here are some pics I took after the Rosh Hashanah meal with everyone hanging out, playing with candy and eating dessert. Happy New Year! As my mom said, this year we toast to love! Haha, Dan and I both got a kick out of that one, since that toast was clearly directed at us.

Love these photos! Sorry we weren’t there to celebrate, but we will be up this coming weekend for Yom Kippur and your birthday festivities. Hope all is well.
