Istanbul

“So if you’ve a date in Constantinople she’ll be waiting in Istanbul”

Marlo and I arrived at our hotel in Istanbul with enough time to go have dinner in the spectacular rooftop terrace overlooking the city’s biggest attractions – the Blue Mosque, The Eye of Sophia and the Bosphorous River.

The weather was perfect. It was a beautiful night with a cool breeze up on the deck. Tonight would be our last night in Turkey and both of us were really sad to leave this country.

In the morning

Marlo had an early morning flight to catch back to Philly and so she left the hotel, first. A couple of hours later, I got up and took a look around the city before catching a flight, myself.

The biggest attraction of Istanbul of course was the Blue Mosque. Luckily, it was close to the hotel, since I had a limited amount of time before I had to leave.

Across from the Blue Mosque is the Eye of Sophia.

And not too far away is the Bosphorous River, which cuts through Istanbul and feeds into the Black Sea.

Breakfast at the hotel was a feast of Turkish specialties

But I was running short on time so I grabbed some yogurt with honey and strawberry jam.

Another day, another flight!

Off to Israel I go!
