“Hardball” in Philly
It was primary election day in Philly, where the Sestak/Specter race was the main political showdown.
MSNBC reporters and hosts broadcasted here in Philly; Hardball host Chris Matthews brought his show to the Lowes Hotel.
He agreed to a sit-down interview with me in his dressing room, and was quite gracious. He’s tough on his show, but was so nice to me and to all his fans who asked him to please stop and take a photo with them. (He smiled and thanked them for watching, even though it seemed he had a lot to juggle in his break between two shows.) Anyone who’s seen his show knows he’s a sharp guy. He answered my questions and was genuine and nice.
And as much as I liked him… I liked Andrea Mitchell even more!
The MSNBC and NBC News reporter remembered me from when I ran into her at the Democratic National Convention in Denver in 2008. She’s a former KYW reporter who worked here in the 1960′s. She still loves and remembers us; and my bosses love and remember her. She saw my mic flag and granted me an interview. Listen for my stories in the morning!!!!
