Tamir’s Day Out

May 3, 2010

More playtime!

I’m hanging out with my nieces and nephew twice in a week! How lucky are we to have all this playtime?

Tamir joins us in the second half of the day. You’d think my brother has never been to the park before. More on that later…

When I got to Tamir and Jen’s house, it was hot! Hot enough to play with water balloons and fill up the kiddie pools!

I love this video. Aviva and Leo are so trusting.

Aviva found a caterpillar that she carried around on a water balloon.

Then the kids moved on to playing with sidewalk chalk.

When Ellie woke up from her nap, she joined in on the fun, too!

Leo has a story to tell about a bird named “Turnpike.”

Then we all go out for sushi. (Tamir was very excited, it was half-priced sushi day.) Here’s Aviva all dressed up and ready to go out!

At sushi:

Leo puts an entire piece in his mouth:

After dropping Jen off at home, the rest of us go to the park to play. Apparently, it’s Leo, Aviva and Ellie taking Tamir to the park, not the other way around. Notice how Tamir explores the playground toys. At one point, Aviva asks him to watch her — but I really think Tamir wants Aviva to watch HIM play!

Then, on the swings Tamir joins Aviva.

Aviva wants Tamir to push her, but Tamir wants to first see how high he can swing.

Look closely at Aviva’s face. She’s not so happy about Tamir shaking the swingset.

Don’t worry, he makes it up to her.

There’s so much to explore at the playground!

After the park, we went home and I read to Leo and Aviva. Meanwhile, Tamir gave Ellie a bath in the kitchen sink. Here she is all clean and ready for bed! Goodnight!
