Liz and I were ladies of the eighties…
And that’s why we loved this movie so much! I’m not an avid movie-goer, but got a chance to see a preview screening of this film. Before it even began, Liz was impressed:
She thought it was pretty awesome we didn’t have to fight for seats, especially since we got there right as the movie was about to begin.
We settled in to enjoy the show.
With a title like, “Hot Tub Time Machine” we really didn’t expect much. It was fun though that those promoting the film were making it a lot of fun, handing out posters and buttons.
And then, something amazing happened — we really started loving this movie! I don’t know if our expectations were just that low, or if it was the 80′s flashbacks we were having, but it was pretty hilarious. There were silly references to 80′s movies like Better off Dead, Sixteen Candles, Back to the Future, Wierd Science and more.
And the music!!! A total nostalgia 80′s soundtrack! We started singing along to the songs out loud in the theater! It reminded me of that time Liz and I were driving back from Laura and Rich’s wedding, and the whole way home, we blasted 80′s dance music in the car (Scroll down to the bottom of the link).
