Aviva’s 4th Bday

March 19, 2010

Happy birthday, cutie!

Aviva turned 4 on Wednesday, Tamir and Jen decided to celebrate with a family Friday night dinner at their house.

It was an incredibly beautiful day, still sunny when we all got there. I came right after work. Mike met me there, I took the train — and brought Aviva 15 helium baloons on the train with me. (That was an adventure in itself, but totally worth it!)

It was so nice out, I watched the kids ride around outside for a bit.

Isaac, me and Mike had a great vantage point from the patio couch.

Then we ate. It was Friday night dinner, so Tamir led the blessings.

Jen made some awesome food.

And of course, mom made her famous m&m birthday cake. Happy birthday, Aviva!

You have a lot of family Aviva — so that means lots and lots of people who want to take birthday photos of you!!!!

Cutting the cake…

Eating the cake…

And then Tamir led us all outside to go play with fire. Well, sparklers, actually.

After all that sparkler fun, we went inside for more fun — time for presents!

Aviva hugged everyone thank you for her gifts.

Then it was time to play with those presents! The boys did Aviva’s hair:

And Leo brought over some chairs from the playroom for him and his Safta. Do you think mom can fit in those little chairs? He believes she can.

Balloon time!

All the kids were crazy about the balloons, but they kept letting them go and the adults (they kept running to Mike because he’s tall) had to pull them down from the ceiling for them. Ellie wanted a balloon too, so I tied one to her foot so she could play with it without losing it. It was pretty entertaining to watch her! It’s funny how many hours of fun kids can have with a simple balloon!

Here’s Ellie taking a step, sort of walking, keeping her balance on her feet.

More playing as Leo jumps off of dad:

And everyone’s tired at the end of the party.
