The “Blizzard” of 2009!
Saturday was a day of snow and I had to work extra early to give snow reports all over the city, suburbs and South Jersey. It was so great. I really like being on “road patrol” duty. (Thanks for the “assist,” Mike!)
Later that night, Mike and I decided to brave the snow and ice and warm up at Tria, where we met Marlo. It just kept snowing and snowing and snowing!
It was the perfect weather in which to sleep in; and we certainly slept in, lazing around my house until the afternoon.
The next day
By Sunday, the city was covered in snow. When we finally decided to venture out of the house late in the afternoon, we disovered that Mike’s car was in snow jail.
It’s funny how there’s snow all around his Saab, but no snow on it!
He did manage to get it out. Here’s the video of him driving out of the snow:
On our way out of the city, Mike pulled over in front of the Art Museum just before hopping on the Schuylkill Expressway — there were folks sledding down the Art Museum steps! It was crazy!
