Dirty, Messy Fun!
Had a fun day playing with Tamir and Jen’s kids; the big project today: BROWNIES!
The messier, the chocolatier, the better!
Aviva and I started the day off with some reading (Caroline, of course!) Then we painted noodles and made macaroni neckaces. When Leo and Ellie woke up from their naps, it was brownie time!
Aviva and Leo helped stir the batter, but mostly they wanted to lick the bowl and the spoons. I was so focused on trying to get more batter in the pan than in their mouths that I forgot to add the egg.
It turns out that non-egg brownies are really dense and chewy. Doesn’t matter, they were still a hit! Chocolate is good in all its forms!
Later, Tamir and I gave them baths and I put the kids to bed with a story.
I can’t believe how exhausted I was at the end of the day! (Happily exhausted.) That’s certainly what I’d call quality time with my nieces and nephew.
