It’s Sundae!

Before heading off to the Sundae pool party, I got up and went for another run. I’m actually starting to really enjoy running. The combination of the sun and my ipod makes working out on vacation really fun for some reason. Let’s hope this feeling lasts!

(Yes, our room is messy. We’re four girls — what do you expect?)
I got a little rained on — okay, A LOT rained on — on my run, but that was okay. I was hot and sweaty anyway. I stopped by the bar to ask if I could use the blender to make a protien shake. The bartender said that was fine… when I came back all showered and clean she told me she almost couldn’t tell it was me!
Anyway, met up with the girls and we were off. The party was at the pool at the South Seas hotel.

Everyone was doing their thing. We sat on the edge of the pool where we had a clear view of the party and got a kick out of watching this guy play the cowbell:
And then there was the dancefloor:
Past the dancefloor, you could walk right onto the beach.
We spent the day dancing, lounging and socializing…

We’re back in the room now. All that sun and fun has made us sleepy. We need a disco nap before going out again, tonight.
Later…
We got up and got ready to go out for our final night out on the town at WMC 2009.
Went out to dinner, and the took our time walking to the club. We were distracted by the late-night shopping! Here’s Marlo doing an impersonation of those guys who walk around with snakes and charge you to take photos with their animals:

Once we finally got there, the lines was so long. Gretchen and Marlo were tired and didn’t want to wait in line. Melissa and I went in and danced for a bit.

Eventually we got tired too and went home early at about 3 in the morning.
THE NEXT DAY –
I got one last run in on our final morning in Miami and met up with Gretchen and Marlo for some shopping while Melissa explored the beach. We had all day to get to the airport, which was really nice. We talked the entire way home. It really was an amazing trip. The best part about it I think was that being with Gretchen, Marlo and Melissa brought me so much closer to those girlfriends! I really am lucky to have such amazing friends like them. Thanks ladies, for making this trip so awesome!
