All Dressed Up
The Red Ball is the Red Cross’s annual fundraiser, and this year they held their black tie party at the new Please Touch Museum.
Every year they have a special VIP room. This year, the VIP room had a working carousel in it!
There’s always a lot of amazing food and drink… but of course the highlight was the carousel! At first, we thought it was just for show. Then we realized we could ride it!
And ride it we did… first a couple of us rode. Then we rode again. Then, a whole bunch of us from work who were there rode the carousel. Good times!
Afterwards, Marlo and I went dancing at Time Lounge. Everyone kept coming up to us to ask if we were at a wedding. Wearing a ball gown to a dance club is the easiest conversation starter.
Then, a bunch of the other girls showed up all dressed up, too! I started cracking up when one of the guys who was talking to us asked where all us “prom queens” came from. I laughed, I talked and we danced until our feet hurt.
