Sunday Morning Blog
This was the last day of my trip before flying home. In keeping with the theme of visiting ancient stones, we decided to take a countryside tour and go see some sites outside London — Windsor Castle, Avbury, and most notably, Stonehenge! I was really excited about this day and that we were going to see this site which was like the cherry on top of this “ancient stones” tour. I know Grace wishes she were here. She told me she would’ve liked to see these sites and see the trip through to the end. In fact, the day I suggested we add Stonehenge to the itinerary, she told me she would’ve liked to call the trip, “Grace and Hadas get stoned.” Ha ha. I don’t do drugs, but I do travel heavily.
Windsor Food
Our first stop on our countryside tour is Windsor Castle. Isaac is more impressed by all the fast food joints around it than the castle, itself!
Windsor Outside
A closer look at the Castle. The Queen was here the weekend we visited. we know that, because her flag was flying over the castle. We didn’t see her, but we were hopeful.
Windsor Guard
I’m sure I’m not the first person to get up close and try to make the guard crack a smile. This is me being silly, getting personal with the guard.
