Day Siren

This is amazing. The entire country stops for the siren to remember Israel’s fallen soldiers. This is the view from the Netanya promenade.

Grace realized her camera also has video capabilities, so she filmed the moment of silence as well.

Post-Siren Interview

Afterwards, Grace turns her camera on me. I wasn’t expecting it and was still experiencing a bit of an emotional moment at the end of the siren.

Soldier’s Rememberance Day and Israeli Independence Day are like one long bi-polar holiday. At sundown, when Remeberance Day ends, Independence Day begins. Netanya is getting ready for the celebrations.

This is the ampitheater I used to hang out at when I was a child, visiting my grandparents in Netanya.

    I will never forget the sound of the siren! I had goosebumps and listened to the entire thing.
